We welcome Fall with one of our favorite recipes: APPLE CIDER DONUTS.

PIZZA PARTY - A FAMILY COOKING CLASS
It's a pizza party!
We'll start class by mixing up our delicious pizza dough!
While the dough rests, we'll make chocolate chip cookies, carrots sticks for our hummus and homemade lemonade.
We'll then shape and bake our pizzas for a yummy dinner!

KIDS’ NIGHT OUT cooking class - pizza + hot cocoa donuts
The kids need a night off. Lol.
Drop them off with us for a special event in the Schoolhouse Kitchen. We'll start by making homemade pizzas. Rolling our own fresh dough, topping with sauce, cheese and a choice of great toppings.
(baby carrots and apples and other parent approved sides, of course, too).
After dinner and game + craft time, we'll roll up our sleeves and make delicious HOT COCOA CUPCAKES!
- we can be inclusive of allergies - just let us know!
- no need to bring anything... you are welcome to bring a water bottle.
hot cocoa cupcakes - class for kids
Kids will learn how to make their own hot cocoa mix, make homemade "hot cocoa" cupcakes with vanilla whipped buttercream and sprinkles and mini marshmallows. So yummy!
Each child makes 6 cupakes to take home to share - if you are lucky.
Kids learn:
-proper measuring
- proper mixing (yes there is a right way! to make fluffy cupcakes)
- how to make homemade buttercream
- how to make hot cocoa mix from scratch
Fun class! Cozy core to the max in our warm and inviting kitchen.

PASTING MAKING 101 - A CLASS FOR FAMILIES
In this hands on class, the whole family will learn how to make fresh pasta dough, roll it into sheets and then cut beautiful fettuccine noodles!
We'll also cut up some veggies for roasting in the oven to serve alongside our pasta with our homemade simple tomato sauce or butter + cheese for a delicious lunch!
This is a very active and engaging class! Best for kids 4+. Little ones love this class as much as adults!
Pasta includes egg + wheat and it's not possible to make substitutions in this class due to allergies.
$40/ person - everyone in your group must register.
Lunar NEW YEAR - FAMILY COOKING CLASS & DINNER
Let's celebrate the Year of the SNAKE!
Families will love cooking together and discovering the flavors of Lunar New Year. In this hands-on cooking party, we'll chop veggies for LONGEVITY NOODLES, create a delicious CHAR SIEW MEATBALLS and make ssssuper sssilly SSSSNAKE COOKIES (from sugar cookie dough).

Thanksgiving cupcake wars!
Young bakers will design 6 cupcakes.
They will have a blast using candies, cookies, frosting and sprinkles to create a flock of goofy turkeys or whatever they like! We'll have plenty of creative inspo on hand.
Each child will make 6 cupcakes to take home in a bakery box to share.
- we prebake cupcakes so that they can have more time designing + decorating them but they can add flavors and fillings to their cupcakes.

What do kids love more than cooking? Storytime! We love combining fun and inspiring foodie books and delicious recipes for our young chefs. It's a great way to spend the morning with your little one as we explore a new recipe.
When Bear finds a chicken frozen in the winter snow, he brings it home to try to defrost it. As Chicken thaws-um, awakens-he fears that Bear is actually prepping to eat him. Oh no! It's almost time for lunch, so Chicken makes a run for it! But in the end, Chicken learns that perhaps he too quickly jumped to conclusions. This funny and clever friendship tale teaches kids that things are not always as they seem, while learning a thing or two about making soup with a friend!
Young Chefs will love chopping and prepping a pile of bright veggies to make a delicious Minestrone Soup together and we'll taste and talk about veggies as we work! We'll read the book while the food is cooking.
Each caregiver/ child team will make the recipes together. You are welcome to take it home or you may stay to eat together.

diwali delights family dinner (all ages)
In this hands on cooking class, we will make an Indian dinner in recognition of the Hindu festival of Diwali. Diwali celebrates the victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance.
During the class we will divide into groups to make the different courses, and then we will come together to enjoy our feast!

Aloo Matar Tiki: a crispy appetizer made with potatoes and peas

Diwali Sugar Cookies with Royal Icing: decorate cookies with colorful designs

Summer in Spain Family Dinner
Join Chef Kristin Koury for a culinary trip to Spain!
We'll make a chorizo and chicken paella, alongside queso de cabra con tomate (goat cheese baked with tomato sauce) with garlic crostini, and for dessert: tortas de aceite (crunchy anise cookies)!
This is sure to be a tasty dinner the whole family will love!
Cook the Book: The Little Red Hen (Caregiver + Child)
When the Little Red Hen asks a cat, dog, and mouse for help planting some wheat, she gets no takers: "‘Not I!’ said the cat. ‘Not I!’ said the dog. ‘Not I!’ said the mouse." They won’t water, cut, or grind the wheat... or help bake a cake with it, either. So in the end, the Little Red Hen eats the cake all by herself as well!
Join us as we make mini funfetti cakes with buttercream frosting! While our cakes bake, we will read The Little Red Hen.

Cook the Book: Blueberries for Sal (caregiver + child)
Kuplink, kuplank, kuplunk! Sal and her mother are picking blueberries to can for the winter. But when Sal wanders to the other side of Blueberry Hill, she discovers a mama bear preparing for her own long winter. Blueberries for Sal is a classic that continues to be gobbled up by children, picky eaters, and parents everywhere. Inspired by the book, "Blueberries for Sal" by Robert McCloskey, we will make Blueberry Crumble!

Taco Art Family Dinner
Families will work together to make a masa dough for corn tortillas and, using natural ingredients like turmeric and paprika, they will create various colors to create their tortilla art! The kids love the creativity. It's so. much fun and the tortillas are delicious!
Families will also make two delicious homemade salsas for the tacos, too.

Donuts with Dad!
Celebrate Father’s Day by making some delicious donuts with Dad!
Young chefs will love cooking along with dad in this special cooking class. First, we measure and make batter for our delicious vanilla cake donuts. Then we fill our donut trays. While donuts bake, we'll create colorful glazes (don't forget the sprinkles!). Each team will make 6 donuts to decorate and take home in a cute bakery box.
This is a fun + relaxed class. It's one of our students' favorites and we think that dads and their littles will bake up some sweet memories, too.

Kamayan Feast with Chef Kathy Vega Hardy
Please join Chef Kathy Vega Hardy, owner of A Taste of the Philippines, at Schoolhouse for an evening of lumpia wrapping and experience a Kamayan feast! Tagalog for "by hand", Kamayan is a traditional Filipino form of eating.
This event is BYOB! Please feel free to bring a yummy beverage to enjoy. This class is for adults and families! Come feast with us!
