Cook the Book! Bear + Chicken (CAREGIVER + CHILD 2.5 YRS +)

COOK THE BOOK SERIES: BEAR AND CHICKEN BY JENNIE HO

Minestrone

What do kids love more than cooking? Storytime! We love combining fun and inspiring foodie books and delicious recipes for our young chefs. It's a great way to spend the morning with your little one as we explore a new recipe.

When Bear finds a chicken frozen in the winter snow, he brings it home to try to defrost it. As Chicken thaws-um, awakens-he fears that Bear is actually prepping to eat him. Oh no! It's almost time for lunch, so Chicken makes a run for it! But in the end, Chicken learns that perhaps he too quickly jumped to conclusions. This funny and clever friendship tale teaches kids that things are not always as they seem, while learning a thing or two about making soup with a friend!

Young Chefs will love chopping and prepping a pile of bright  veggies to make a delicious Minestrone Soup together and we'll taste and talk about veggies as we work!  We'll read the book while the food is cooking.

Each caregiver/ child team will make the recipes together. You are welcome to take it home or you may stay to eat together.

Please register each person in your party  (1 caregiver + 1 child = 2 registrations).

You don't need to bring anything but may bring aprons/ water bottles if you like.
