HOMESTEADING CAMP - AGES 5-11 YRS

Campers will make a new recipe each day as well as enjoy creative time in our open studio with tons of craft supplies and games to play.
Each day your child will bring home what they cooked up at camp and we share all recipes so that you can continue the cooking at home.

T/WEEN COOKING CAMP- AGES 11-15 YRS

T/weens are challenged by our well designed projects that teach practical cooking and baking techniques. They build on skills all week long as they explore a variety of fun and creative recipes. Chefs bring home what they made each day to share with you and we send home all recipes at the end of the week.

NOTES ABOUT OUR CAMPS:

Allergies: We can accommodate most food allergies and do not serve any peanuts or tree nuts.
When you register your child please list any food allergies. Most recipes are vegetarian and if there is meat involved, we can offer a vegetarian option.

Accommodations: We strive to welcome everyone at the Schoolhouse and are committed to providing a safe environment for all students. If your child may need behavioral/ emotional accommodations, please let us know when you register or before camp begins so that we can be aware and do our best to be inclusive.
Physically rough, destructive or disruptive behavior is not permitted as we are in a kitchen setting and you will be asked to pick-up your camper if they repeatedly engage in behavior that is unsafe or disruptive.

Cancellation Policy for Camps:

We will change registration with a $25 admin fee

CANCELLATION:

2+ wks notice = refund - $25 admin fee

Less than 2 wks notice = credit - $25 admin fee

Less than 1 wks notice = no credit offered. You may transfer camp to another child. Email us to let us know. cheryl@iloveschoolhouse.com
note - we can not offer credits or transfers with less than 1 week notice. no exceptions.

What to bring:

WATER BOTTLE with name clearly labeled
Close toed shoes are ideal and tying long hair back is helpful.
Some kids like to bring aprons - we do not provide these.
Dress for Mess!

Arrival + Dismissal:

Camp staff will be ready to check in campers 10 mins before camp is scheduled to begin.

FIRST DAY: Staff will greet you with the roster. Please greet the counselor with the roster and we'll check in your camper.

At registration you will be asked about your drop-off + pick-up preferences:

- My child/ren can leave at the end of camp without my oversight

- I would like you to release my child/ren to me (or another caregiver).

JULY 24 - 28 - BUILD-A-CAKE CAMP - CAMP FULL
campers create a 2 tiered cake, step x step, all week! cake layers, fondant, frosting, fillings and homemade sprinkles

JULY 31 - AUGUST 4 - COPYCAT WEEK - CAMP FULL
Hostess cupcakes, Cheez its, Crumbl cookies, Portillo's chocolate cake, Olive Garden breadsticks

AUGUST 7-11 - MIDWEST IS BEST - CAMP FULL
gooey butter cake, pasties, tater tot casserole, strawberry short cake, deep dish pizza

AUGUST 14 - 18 - SUMMERTIME TREATS - CAMP FULL
berry hand pies, watermelon granita, ice cream cone cupcakes, ice cream sandwiches, s'mores pies
