oct 9 - three sisters’ cooking camp/ indigenous peoples’ day.

  • Schoolhouse Kitchen + Studio 2337 West North Avenue Chicago, IL, 60647 United States (map)

Kids will love making homemade tortillas for our Three Sisters’ Quesadillas. The Three Sisters are Corn, Beans and Squash and Indigenous people planted them together to ensure that they each had what they needed to grow. We’ll read the beautiful Native American Folktale about this planting method to learn more!
In the afternoon, campers will make yummy spiced pumpkin muffins, too.
A full day of cooking, crafting and learning together.
